La noticia de el virus Ebola  llego a mi atención hace unos días. Me dijeron que el viaje de misiones podría ser cancelado debido a la misma. Inmediatamente, me puse mi súper abrigo espiritual y dije “todavía voy”. Sin embargo, todavía no había analizado nada a profundidad y no estaba siendo lógica. Me dijeron que íbamos a hablar más del asunto en la reunión del lunes, 4 de Agosto.

Al leer sobre el virus en varios sitios de web, lo único que podía pensar era en lo perfecto que es nuestro Dios. Es que, desde el principio, Dios alinea todo de una manera tal que no podía tener una gota de duda de que Él nos había llamado para esta misión. Muchos pueden pensar que estamos locos por ir en un momento tan como este, pero no es esto el fundamento de las misiones? Esta es una verdadera prueba de nuestra fe. Como Mardoqueo le dijo a Ester:

“¿Quién sabe si no has llegado a tu posición por un momento como éste?”

No esta demás decir que nuestra reunion fue muy emocionante, pero wow, llena de él Espíritu Santo. Su presencia era tan palpable durante la reunión. Todos sentimos una paz tan indescriptible a través de las lágrimas de los corazones preocupados. A medida que individualmente vertimos nuestros corazones en oración, todo estaba cayendo en su lugar… nuestro grupo estaba compuesto de personas con fe para mover montañas, valentía para terminar la tarea, y lo más importante, el amor por las almas perdidas.

Nuestro Lider de Misiones habló a nuestro pequeño grupo y expresó las siguientes palabras: “he recibido órdenes de Dios”. Sus palabras sólo confirmaron lo que creo que todos nosotros en la habitación habíamos abrazado; Si Dios está con nosotros, nada podrá estar en contra.

Así que… la lógica… bueno, servimos a un Dios sobrenatural que se manifiesta en lo imposible, lo inalcanzable, lo imprevisible y lo que no tiene sentido; no hay nada lógico al respecto.

“Nunca hay una coincidencia en Dios, solo propósito.”

Por favor manténganos en sus oraciones. Nuestros corazones están sensibles a la voz de Dios y vamos a ir a donde Él nos guíe.

Un poco más…

Durante la reunión de ayer, se nos informó que nuestro guitarrista, Ray, ya no podria viajar con nosotros. Entendemos que Dios no lo permitió en esta ocasión. Aun así, Ray puso tanto esfuerzo en los ensayos de las canciones para Ghana y en la preparación de su mente, corazón y espíritu que queríamos honrar a Ray mediante el registro de dos videos que reflejan su pasión por las misiones. Estos videos serán vistos por nuestras familias de Ghana.

The Ebola Virus news came to my attention a few days ago. I was told that the missions trip might be canceled due to it. Immediately, my super woman spiritual coat came on and I said “I’m still going”. Of course, I had yet to analyze anything in depth and was not being practical at all. I was told that we would further speak of the matter at our meeting on Monday the 4th.

As I read about the ebola virus on several websites, all I could think of was how perfect our God is. See, from the start, God aligned everything in such a way that I could not have a drop of doubt that He had called us for this mission. Many may think we are crazy for going in such a time like this, but isn’t this what missions is all about?  This is a true test of our faith.  As Mordecai told Esther:

“who knows but that you have come to your position for such a time as this?”

Needless to say, our meeting was extremely emotional but wow was it Holy Spirit led. His presence was so heavy. We all felt such an indescribable peace through the tears of worried hearts. As we individually poured our hearts in prayer, it was all coming together… our group was composed of people with faith to move mountains, courage to finish the assignment, and most importantly, LOVE for the lost.

Our Missions Leader spoke to our small group and expressed the following words: “I received orders from God”. His words only confirmed what I believe all of us in the room were already convicted of; If God is with us, nothing can stand against us.

So… about being practical… well, we serve a supernatural God that manifests Himself in the impossible, the unattainable, the unpredictable and the illogical; there is nothing practical about that.

“There is never a coincidence in God, there is only purpose.”

Please keep us in your prayers. Our hearts are sensitive to Gods voice and we will go where He leads.

A little extra…

During yesterday’s meeting, we were informed that our guitarist, Ray, would no longer be able to travel with us. We understand that God did not allow it on this occasion. Even so, Ray placed so much effort in practicing the songs for Ghana and in preparing his mind, heart and spirit that we wanted to honor Ray by recording two videos reflecting his passion for missions. These videos will be viewed by our Ghanaian families.
